Who is the Today community?

Hi! Welcome to the Today community! We are so excited that you found our community and brand! We started the Today community after many years of exhaustion from chasing the rat race of the world and a deep desire to get off the busyness train. Today exists to remind people that when we focus on God’s Kingdom, everything else falls into place, often in ways we never expected.

We believe Today is a verb. Today; walking by faith, staying grounded in the present moment, and to being grateful for what is in front of you.

God has continued to refine our hearts on what it looks like to live an intentionally present life, focused on His mission rather than yesterday’s mistakes or tomorrow’s worries. We are firm believers that to fully experience the Lord’s faithfulness in our lives, we are called to be planted where he has us Today, working diligently in the current season, and not obsessed over the future. When we obsess over the future or dwell in the past, we end up living in a state of control, fear, overwhelm, and anxiety, and miss miracles that are right in front of us.

When we live for the world and on the rat race, the target is always moving and there is always a feeling of not enough looming in the background. Culture has made us to believe we need more and are never doing enough, though this belief leaves us feeling empty and unfulfilled. When we live focused on the present moment and focused on walking out his plan in the current season we experience an over flow of blessings, joy, deeper relationships, peace, rest, deeper sense of the Holy Spirit, and begin to see the miracles all around us.

The Today mission is rooted on Matthew 6:33–34: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
